Classic Weft Care & Maintenance
Protect your investment and extend the life of your MMHC Classic Clip-Ins with these simple care tips:
Gently detangle your wefts before and after each wear. Always start from the ends and work upward using The Detangler
Cleanse your wefts every 2–3 weeks or as needed, depending on product buildup. Always use sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Gently lather without excessive rubbing or twisting.
After washing, gently pat the hair dry with a towel. Allow your wefts to air dry fully on a clean, dry surface. Avoid excessive heat to preserve the texture and softness.
When heat styling, always apply a heat protectant first. Keep styling tools at 400°F or lower to maintain hair integrity and minimize damage.
Store your wefts in the MMHC satin-lined dust bag when not in use to prevent tangling and dryness. Ensure hair is completely dry before storing.
- Consider sealing the wefts with a quality weft sealant before installation to minimize potential shedding.
- Whenever possible, avoid cutting the wefts during installation. Instead, use the fold-over method to preserve the integrity of the stitching and extend the life of the hair.
- Professional installation and removal are highly recommended to maintain the quality of your extensions and protect your natural hair.
- Avoid coloring, lightening, or chemically altering Signature Shades extensions — they are pre-colored for your convenience.
- Avoid purple or toning shampoos unless specifically recommended, as they may alter the custom tone.
- Use moisturizing deep conditioners weekly to maintain softness and manageability.
- Light, leave-in serums or oils are fine — but avoid heavy products that can weigh down or fade the color.
