Before Miix Mii was a brand, it was a belief I lived by. I’ve worn my hair every way you can think of — blown out, colored, curly, bone straight. And through all of that, I stayed rooted in the texture I was born with.
In the early 2010s, there was a heavy push for “true natural” — no color, no heat, no extensions. And while I respected the movement, I also knew it didn’t fully reflect the woman I was. I wasn’t interested in labels or limitations. I colored my hair because I loved expressing myself. I wore wash-and-gos one week and silk presses the next. I celebrated my texture — and I celebrated choice.
